What The Impossible Quiz is like to play
The Impossible Quiz is 25 questions long, completely honest, and out to get you. Every question has a correct answer sitting in plain sight; the trap is the assumption you bring to it. How many letters are in 'the alphabet'? Count again. Where do you bury the survivors? You don't. Which word is always spelled incorrectly? Read the question the way it was written, not the way your brain autocompleted it. You get three lives, ten seconds per question, and a scoring system that pays for speed, which is exactly the pressure that makes careful readers rush and rushers wrong. Answer streaks add bonuses, the reveal after each question explains the trick so every death teaches, and the question order shuffles on every run so you cannot coast on the order you saw last time. Finishing all 25 with lives to spare pays a triumphant bonus and the quiet certainty that your brain reads what is actually there, which is rarer than it sounds.

Where The Impossible Quiz came from
The trick quiz became a browser phenomenon in 2007, when a hand-drawn Flash quiz with deliberately unfair-looking questions conquered every school computer lab on Earth. Its insight was that comedy and challenge could be the same mechanic: the wrong answers were funny, the right answers were funnier, and the rage of losing to a pun was somehow the most shareable feeling in games.
The Impossible Quiz is our tribute with entirely original questions written in the same tradition: honest wording, dishonest expectations. We added arcade pressure (ten-second timer, speed scoring, streaks) and a fresh shuffle every run, so the question that catches you out is never the one you were braced for.
