Free-Games.to takes editorial responsibility for every game description, guide and article published on this domain. This page explains what we publish, how a guide is written and checked, and what we refuse to do. If something here turns out to be wrong, tell us and we will correct the page.
What belongs on this site
Our scope is free browser games and their controls, rules, strategies and practical use. Nothing else. We do not publish pages that exist only to repeat keyword variations.
The test a guide has to pass
A guide has to help you do one of two things: choose a game worth your time, or make a better decision while playing it. If a draft does neither, it does not get published. That is why the playbook holds 27 guides rather than one per game. A game only gets a dedicated guide when its rules reward a real explanation.
How a guide gets written and checked
Every guide is written against the edition you can play here, and checked against the code that runs it.
The four steps
- Play the edition and note the behavior the game actually implements, including its controls and scoring.
- Write the explanation in plain words, separating a rule from a habit and a fact from a preference.
- Check every worked example against the game’s own move logic. The 2048, Connect Four, Reversi, Mancala and Dots and Boxes examples use the same logic as the playable versions. Minesweeper examples enumerate the mine placements the stated clues allow.
- Link the guide to the games it teaches and to a related guide, so a reader can act on the lesson straight away.
What the checks do not prove
A check establishes the illustrated result. It does not promise that a strategy always wins. We distinguish a deterministic move from a random tile or another uncertain event, which is why the 2048 corner strategy guide talks about keeping options open rather than guaranteeing a score. Diagrams are learning examples. They are not evidence of player counts or ratings.
Names and functionality
A game name on this site describes the playable edition you will get.
Established titles and independent editions
We do not rename an unrelated engine after a popular commercial title, and we do not promise a game that the play button cannot deliver. Where an engine only loosely resembles a famous game, it is given an honest genre name instead. Unavailable editions are labeled clearly. Independent browser adaptations are labeled as such on the game pages themselves, and are never presented as an original publisher’s release.
Sources and corrections
Instructions are based on the behavior of the relevant game. A claim about another organization should link to that organization’s primary source.
What we will not fabricate
We do not invent testing, quotes, ratings, awards or popularity statistics. We do not publish fake reviews or user counts. If we do not know a fact, we leave it out. Report an error through the contact page and name the passage.
Automation and imagery
We use software to help prepare artwork and to publish site-specific articles. Automation does not remove our responsibility for accuracy, relevance and usefulness.
Where the artwork comes from
Illustrative brand and category artwork was generated with Gemini. New game covers and playbook cover illustrations are generated through Wallpapers.com. Some game cards still carry earlier artwork while replacement covers are prepared. None of these illustrations is presented as a screenshot or an exact game-board example. A cover depicts the theme or the mechanics of our playable edition, so the board strategy pages show boards in the spirit of the game rather than a captured position.
What we hold back
Imported drafts are held for editorial attention when they repeat existing material, contain hidden or executable content, or lack a clear browser-game subject. Spacing publication dates apart does not make an article useful or original.
Contributed articles and links
Articles supplied for this domain appear inside the same journal and navigation as our own work, with no separate sponsored section hidden from readers.
How outbound links are treated
External links in imported articles are qualified as nofollow until their editorial purpose has been reviewed. Sponsored placements must be disclosed and their links qualified as sponsored. We do not accept unrelated articles placed mainly to benefit from this domain’s search visibility.
Dates and responsibility
An article date reflects publication. Updating a date on its own does not mean the article has been improved.
Who is credited
Guides are attributed to Free Games as the responsible publisher. We do not invent individual author credentials or fictional expert bios. The about page explains who runs the site and how it is built.
